In this latest edition of Gridiron Gabbin, site Editor Matt Loede is joined by New York Daily News writer and author Ralph Vacchiano. In Ralph’s new book – The Making of a Quarterback, he talks about the rise of Giants QB Eli Manning, who reached the top last season winning the Super Bowl with an upset of the unbeaten New England Patriots. Vacchiano starts with Manning’s career at the University of Mississippi, exploring the last-minute deal that allowed the quarterback to come to New York, and Manning’s rocky rookie season with the Giants and the struggles he endured in escaping the shadows cast by older brother Peyton and father Archie, both established quarterbacks. We also talk about tonight’s Giants-Skins battle, and a quick outlook on the Giants in 2008. Click below to hear this latest Gridiron Gabbin.
