Browns Flat Again in 26-6 Loss to Lions

Did Brady Quinn come to play today? Doesn’t look that way. Defensive backfield come to play? Doesn’t look like it either. First team defensive line looked pretty good. They put pressure on the Lion’s QB almost every time he dropped back to pass. They also stuffed the run every play except one 35 yard TD run by Smith.

Penalties were a problem again this week. The offense has done nothing either, 1st and goal at the Lions 8 and end up back at the 21 and settle for a FG? Special teams has looked decent. No real hi lights though for the first half. I’m beginning to think that Crennel is too relaxed with these players. Giving the players too much time off? Work them Dawgs. I don’t think they’re in shape. Way too many hamstring, ankle and foot injuries.

Penalties, penalties, and more penalties. Major Facemask on Friedman? Where did that come from? Dorsey again, who looked like his 3rd string ranking, did nothing. I don’t care if 10 out of 11 starters are out injured. Your back ups need to play better than ours have.

I really thought the Browns made some great off season moves. Those moves along with the success we had last year, was a good reason to plan on the playoffs this year. I originally thought the Browns could go anywhere from 11-5 to 13-3 and make a run in the playoffs. But with the “missed tackles”, “terrible secondary coverage”, “stupid penalties”, “bad throws”, “dropped passes”, “injuries”, and “the complete collapse of certain areas”, I worry that we may finish in the basement. Reggie, a friend of mine bet me $500 that the Browns would finish last. I jumped right on that bet, but I am beginning to worry. 10 years since we came back into the NFL, and what do we have to show for it?

I think us Browns fans have waited long enough for a championship. This will be the 44th year since we have had any kind of championship winner in NE Ohio. If we miss the playoffs this year the Browns better start seriously thinking about getting rid of Crennel. Multi million dollar contracts, along with the poor showings? I think it’s time for this team to step up and earn their keep. You have the “BEST FANS” in the country. I think it’s time we were rewarded for our dedication.

agreed..after the way this preseason has started..witch i don’t put much faith in preseason..but still our startes got a serious wake up call against the giants..if you want to be champs you have to beat champs!!! and i don’t think this team is ready for that..maybe we’ll get a big surprise and be better than last year..but it’s not looking good…
