While he continues to want out of Atlanta for a chance at more playing time, wide out Joe Horn did return to practice Thursday following a bout with a hamstring ailment. Coach Mike Smith said, “He’s been working with the trainers and running some routes, almost full speed. We got him some snaps. So we’ll get an opportunity to see what he can do this week.”
Horn went on NFL Radio on Thursday and told Tim Ryan and Jim Miller that he has talked with Mike Smith and still wants out of Atlanta, going to a team that will give him a shot at more playing time.
Right now in the ATL, Horn is simply an insurance policy in case one of the teams young receivers gets hurt, and he wants to be more than that, even at 36 years old. He told NFL Radio that even though he’d like to go to a contender (Dallas or Philly came up in the call), he would even go to a team that is rebuilding, like the Oakland Raiders.
