New Raiders CB DeAngelo Hall is playing with a broken bone in his hand, and right now is practicing with a thick cast on the hand. “It affects everything,” Hall said after practice Tuesday in Napa. “I’ve got a little broken bone in there. I don’t even feel like I should even be out here practicing on it or even going into preseason. But it’s something that no one else seems to feel like it’s affecting everything, so I’m out there practicing and playing the game.”
Hall would like to give his right hand time to heal, but says that the decision to be out there is not his, so he’s simply trying to make the best of a tough situation. “Nah, it ain’t my choice,” Hall said. “I’m employee (No.) 23, so I do what I’m told.” The CB did make a goal-line hit during drills on Tuesday, and coach Lane Kiffin praised him for his efforts, though one has to wonder why he’s being thrown out there if he’s not 100 percent for practices that may in the end hinder his efforts for the 08 season.
