The Bears were looking to get back to the basics of running this season, and were going to do it with an offensive line that hopefully was going to play better. That plan may be a bit derailed, as word is first round draft pick Chris Williams may be missing the entire season. ProFootballTalk.com is stating that the 14th overall pick has a back injury that may keep him out of action long term.
The source says that Williams had an injury prior, and that he has aggravated the injury and likely will be shut down as a whole. The team was counting hard on Williams, as he was one of seven offensive tackles taken in the first 21 picks, and one that the team felt would be a difference maker from day one. Now the team is just hoping he can make it on the field and play in 08.
