Pacman’s Status To Be Known By August 30

One thing is certain about the Dallas Cowboys and Adam “Pacman” Jones – they have at least an idea as to his status on Jones’ reinstatement for Week 1 of the NFL regular season’ according to Mac Engel of the Dallas Star-Telegram, team owner Jerry Jones said on Wednesday that he thinks the latest the team will know about Jones’ status for Week 1 is August 30, when the Cowboys must reduce their roster to 53 players.

Currently, Jones has been reinstated to practice with the team and play in preseason games; from all accounts, he has been a model citizen since he signed with the Cowboys. However, Jones isn’t likely to start against the San Diego Chargers Saturday night. Despite an injury to Terence Newman, head coach Wade Phillips says that rookie Mike Jenkins will get the start at left cornerback.
