Jimmy Buffett the Cowboys’ Psychic Predicts Playoff Loss for Cowboys

Jimmy Buffett, oh Jimmy Buffett, please say it isn’t so! Please tell us that your wild ways weren’t just the tip of your psychic prowess! Please tell us that your songs are just songs and not a precursor to the Dallas Cowboys demise!

It appears that the 2008 version of the Dallas Cowboys have everything in place. Just about all the media outlets are predicting nothing less than a Super Bowl and just about every player on the team is now being ranked in the top 10 at their respective positions, however, there is an underlying problem growing down in Irving. Jimmy Buffett’s songs are about to cause the Cowboys to end their season the same way they’ve ended their last two:with a loss in the playoffs and no Super Bowl! Its all there in his songs:all the signs are pointing this way, it will all lead to one conclusion…but more on that in a moment:let’s get to what our psychic is saying:

It starts with “One Particular Harbour”, Buffett says “But there’s one particular harbour, so far but yet so near, where I see the days as they fade away and finally disappear”. It’s so clear:a Harbour (a place of comfort and security by the sea):so far but so near (the playoffs but not the Super Bowl):it disappears (they lose). Then you have “Volcano” what a whopper of a prediction “but I don’t want to land in New York City” and get beat down by the Giants, “I don’t want to land on no Three Mile Island; I don’t want to see my skin a-glow”. Three Mile Island is in Pennsylvania, so they don’t want to go get lit up by the Eagles! “I don’t want land in no San Juan airport or no Yukon Territory”, Mexico and Canada, only one Mexican, Canadian Football standout playing near a Harbour in the same conference. Know where I’m going yet? Then you can’t forget the big one:the mother of all predictions belongs in “Margaritaville”. “Some people claim that there’s a woman to blame”. Oh Jessica, please don’t let it be true. “With nothing to show but this brand new tattoo”, what in the world would that tattoo be? A Mexican!

So there it is, clear as day:our Dallas Cowboys will think they’ve got an easy road to the Super Bowl, will get complacent, go down to Tampa Bay (the harbour) in the second round of the Playoffs(so far but near) and Jeff Garcia (the CFL star of Mexican decent), with Jessica Simpson watching from the stands (woman to blame) and lose (it disappears) and again disappoint all those with such high hopes.
