Chiefs’ First Round Pick Out For Remainder Of Camp?

Branden Albert
Although nothing is etched in stone as of this writing, Kansas City Chiefs first-round pick Branden Albert – according to the Associated Press – could possibly miss the remainder of training camp with a sprained foot; the left tackle, assuming he has to sit out the next few weeks or so, could deal a blow to the Chiefs as Albert is learning a new position (right tackle) after having played guard at the University of Virginia.

Team head coach Herm Edwards said that Albert would be evauluated daily, but is very unlikely to play in the Chiefs’ first preseason game against the Chicago Bears this week. Albert was initially diagnosed with a mildly sprained ankle after being injured during a joint practice with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.
