The Miami Dolphins highlight film will surely focus on the future, as 2007 is a season the team really wants to forget. Going 1-15, with just one OT win over the Ravens, the team is basically trying to wipe the slate clean and move on. They did so with making bold front office moves, some savy free agent pickups, and a smart draft pick in round one with OL Jake Long from Michigan. This is not to say that the team will be good overnight, as you can expect more growing pains in 2008, but let’s face it – Rome was not built in a day.
The focus of the Fins in 2008 will be to find some players that can be there long-term and build for the future. They have three QB’s that will start that process – John Beck, Josh McCown and draft pick Chad Henne. All three can be starters at some point in 2008, and long run it will be interesting to see who is the starter. As for the running game, a healthy Ronnie Brown will be key, and he should help out the offense as a whole. Tough to put a number of wins on the Dolphins in 2008, but bottom line is they are going to be better than last season.
