Browns GM Savage Lands Three-Year Extension

It’s been a long road for the Cleveland Browns and GM Phil Savage, but with the team looking as if it may be one of the top teams in the AFC in 2008, the Browns today locked their GM up with a three-year extension. Savage has been one of the most, if not the most active GM this offseason, making a ton of moves to try and get the Browns ready for a run at the top of the AFC North. The team moved most of its draft picks in order to get players like Shaun Rogers and Corey Thompson through trades, and didn’t even have a pick till day two of the draft.

Savage though thinks that the Browns are ready for a run, and now with he and Romeo Crennel each signed to deals that will keep them there for a few years, the Browns very well could have the core that can make them playoff contenders for the next few years. Click Below to hear Phil Savage today in Berea at mini-camp talk about the team and the future of the Browns.
