While the verdict is still truely out on when, where and even if Pacman Jones will play in 2008, it has not stopped the suspended corner from making the rounds time after time talking about coming back to the league. It seemed almost a for sure that Jones would be playing with Dallas in 2008, and there were even reports that Jones was close to getting dealt from the Titans to the Cowboys, before the deal hit a snag.
Recently, Jones came out and gave word that there were a number of teams that he would be interested in playing for. He was quoted as saying the following about his playing future. “There are a few teams interested in me like the Detroit Lions, New England and (Miami) Dolphins,” said Jones, speaking as though he expects to be reinstated soon. “But everyone knows I want to wear the star on my helmet, and play for Jerry Jones.” As far as being reinstated, that is all up to commish Roger Goodell, who we all know does not appear to be a big fan of Jones.
With that, I still think down the road, Jones will be back in the league, and that a deal will be struck between the Cowboys and Titans to get him in Dallas, and that Jones will get a shot at basically restarting his career in Big D.
