The NFL announced the 2008 preseason schedule yesterday and it includes a 13-game national television slate that will feature all playoff teams from last season. The preseason kicks off as usual with the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, August 3rd when the Colts and Redskins meet in Canton, Ohio. The post-Brett Favre era begins when Aaron Rodgers and the Packers take on the Bengals on ESPN in the first full weekend of games. Week Two’s contests include the Super Bowl champion New York Giants facing the Cleveland Browns on ESPN while the third weekend will feature the Vikings and Steelers on CBS. Four weeks of preseason play will conclude on August 28th and 29th with the regular season set to kick off on Thursday, September 4th when the Giants host the Redskins.
