While the deal to send DeAngelo Hall to the Raiders still appears on, there have been snags in the talks as of late, which is keeping the deal from going down. It was first broken down on Saturday that the Falcons were going to send the shut-down corner to the Raiders for a second-round pick and a sixth-round pick. The holdup seems to be the Raiders getting a new deal done with Hall, which is supposed to be part of the deal.
Reports came out yesterday that Hall and the Raiders hit a dry spell in talks over a new deal, but that the sides do continue talking, and that they hope to try and work something out so that the deal can take place. In a new twist, if the Raiders can get the deal done and get Hall, there is word they will dangle corner Fabian Washington on the market for a deal, as the team does not need three corners. Washington was the Raiders first-round pick back in 2005, and last season, but has fallen out of favor witht the team as last season in 15 games he had just one pick after having four in 2006.
