After losing a pair of defensive linemen due to free agency over the past three weeks, the Titans may be looking to restock as today they will host former Lions defensive end Kalimba Edwards. Titans officials confirmed the visit with the Nashville City Paper, and the sides will speak today. The 28-year- old along with running back Kevin Jones were both released last week by Detroit in a somewhat of a surprising move. He was the Lions second-round draft choice back in 2002 out of the University of South Carolina.
His best season was 2005 when he had seven sacks, and for his career he has 26 career sacks. Last season was a tough one for Edwards, as he played in just eight games due to injury. He did have three sacks in the eight games he played in with two forced fumbles. Tennessee has already hosted vets Josh Thomas and Ellis Wyms following the loss on the D-line of both Antwan Odom and Travis LaBoy.
There is also speculation that the team may focus on rebuilding the D-line with some early help in the upcoming April Draft.
