Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan – not that he needs to impress most NFL personnel – threw 52 passes in front of a contingent of NFL scouts at the school’s inaugural Pro Day on Tuesday; Ryan and dozens of other NFL prospects went through a battery of drills, which included running sprints, throwing and catching passes in advance of the 2008 NFL draft, which takes place in April. Among the attendees was Kansas City Chiefs head coach Herm Edwards.
Ryan, who is 6’5″ and 220 lbs., is being projected to be among the top 10 picks in the draft this year, with the outside possibility of being selected first overall; in 2007, Ryan completed 388-of-654 attempts for 4,507 yards with 31 touchdowns and 19 interceptions while leading the Eagles to an 11-3 record.
