Broncos and Texans Work Out a Trade for OL Myers

Trades seem to be the growing trend as of late in the NFL, and today the NFL Network is reporting a deal that went down between the Houston Texans and the Denver Broncos.  Adam Schefter is reporting that the Broncos have shipped guard/center Chris Myers to the Texans for a 6th round pick in this April’s NFL Draft.  Since Myers, a restricted free agent, was given a 6th round tender, it’s basically as if the Texans had signed him to an offer sheet and the Broncos didn’t match it.

Myers has played his whole three-year career for the Broncos, and as stated above can play either the guard or center spot for the Texans.  Reports say that the Texans will play him at center. Myers signed a four-year, $11 million contract that includes $3 million guaranteed.  He was a 6th round pick of the Broncos back in the 2005 draft, and played his college ball in his hometown of Miami.
