Another NFL player has visited the police blotter as according to the Associated Press, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett has been arrested and charged with “driving while impaired”; the Mecklenberg County Sheriff’s Office said that Jarrett was pulled over in Charlotte at around 3 AM Tuesday. He was released on $1,000 bail.
The Panthers termed the incident as “unacceptable” and were still gathering information as of this writing; Jarrett was the team’s 2nd-round pick last year, but struggled as a rookie, being held to only 73 yards on 6 catches and zero touchdowns. At the time of Jarrett’s arrest, he was participating in the Panthers’ offseason conditioning program.
