Moss and Pats Come to Terms – 3 Years for $27 Million

You can put all the Randy Moss to Green Bay or anywhere else for that matter rumors to bed, the big play wide out is making the right choice and is staying with the AFC Champion New England Patriots.’s Tom Curran confirmed the story that Moss would be staying and has signed on for three years for $27 million.  While it was not released, the guaranteed money that Moss will make was increased.

There was plenty of worry in New England that Moss was going to take more money somewhere else and bolt after one record breaking season in whch he broke Jerry Rice’s record for TD’s caught in one season.  Instead, after being a free agent for about three days, Moss and the team came to terms.

While the Pats need Moss, it should also be noted that Moss needs them.  Sure, he could have went to another team, and maybe that team would have been a contender like the Pack, but let’s face it, early in the season there was no duo in the league that was as destructive to opposing defenses than Tom Brady to Randy Moss.  It’s a match made in heaven and one that it was a bit of surprise that it dragged out as long as it did.
