Shaun Rogers is coming to Ohio. Next stop will be the Cleveland Browns and not the Cincinnati Bengals as originally reported. The trade with the Bengals was turned down by the league due to language issues in the trade agreement.
Rogers will now be headed to a team as of right now does not have a pick in the first three rounds of the 2008 Draft. In the swap with the Lions the Browns not only send their third round pick, but probably their best DB in Leigh Bodden.
Joining Rogers on the Browns revamped line will be Corey Williams who was acquired for the Browns second round pick in the upcoming draft earlier in the day. Of course you remember the Browns used their first round pick in the 2008 draft last year to move up and draft Brady Quinn in the first round of the 2007 draft after a trade with the Cowboys.
Rogers who at times has shown that he can be one of the most dominant players up front has not really lived up to expectations after being drafted out of the University of Texas eight seasons ago. Most of that is due to some off the field and weight issues.
His most productive season had to be 2004 while starting 16 games that year he had 48 solo tackles, 20 assist, 4 sacks and 5 pass deflections.
