Well, the Super day is finally upon us. The day we’ve talked about for about the last six months is here, as the Giants and Pats do battle here in the valley of the sun, Phoenix (actually Glendale) Arizona. I don’t have much time today to devote to the prediction, so here goes.
First, the Pats have done what they have had to do all season. They make plays in the clutch, don’t make silly mistakes, and exploit other teams weaknesses. I think that vs the Giants, they will do that again. Remember, the big part of the reason why they struggled a bit in the two playoff games was due to the weather and wind, and today there will be none of that. The Pats will have their offense in full effect, and will be able to make plays like they did in the warm weather months. Plus now they have a running game that has gained confidence as the post season has moved along.
I like the QB matchup a lot here for the Pats. Mr.Cool Tom Brady has been here, done that, and should be able to do it again. I think Eli struggles in this game, much like Rex Grossman did a season ago for the Bears. Look for the Pats D to have a few mistakes from Eli on their side to create short fields. The Giants HAVE to be able to run, and run alot if they are to keep this thing close and try to bail it out at the end. Won’t happen.
The Pats are on a ride that has seen them never stop, and it will continue today in Arizona. This has been the goal all season long. Look for NYG to put up a fight early, but in the end, Brady, Moss, Welker, and Maroney will make more than enough plays to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. 72 Dolphins – It’s here – your time as the “best ever” is done.
