Pacman Unlikely To Be Reinstated

Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones
2008 doesn’t look to be a year of wearing football pads for suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones; Chris Mortensen from ESPN reports that representatives for Jones have been told not to expect Jones to be reinstated in the immediate future; in a related vein, the Titans have informed Jones and his representatives in a meeting that they will attempt to trade him. The Titans, however, cannot trade Jones until he has been reinstated. The Titans had no comment on Jones’ status, and an NFL spokesman told ESPN that a decision on Jones would be made in the offseason – which would be after the Super Bowl.

Seperately, a Tennessee judge dismissed 2 misdemeanor charges against Jones Thursday relating to an incident on August 25, 2006, which leaves only one criminal charge pending against him. Jones did not comment as to whether he thought he had done enough to be reinstated
