Sparano the Front Runner for Fins Coaching Spot

New Dolphins coach?

While reports about Cowboys assistant Tony Sparano already having the Dolphins job are false, there are reports going around that he is the front runner for the position, and that many think he will get the position.  Today the Fins are meeting with Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and tomorrow with Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.  Another name that has popped up is Skins defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.

Bill Parcells is sure to go with one of “his guys,” which right away makes Sparano the front runner for the position.  There is also talk by Jay Glazer of that former wide out Keyshawn Johnson may be in the mix to do something with the Dolphins.  Sources have it that Johnson, another guy tight with the Tuna, may try and get a role as a front office guy or maybe even as a player, as he is only one year removed from the game.

Glazer also has an interesting piece up today about the final days of GM Randy Mueller and coach Cam Cameron, which included loud mouth linebacker Joey Porter going on a three-minute yell fest at Cameron in the locker room in the coaches final days as the team limped towards a 1-15 mark.  Word is Cameron did nothing.  “He crushed Cam,” a source in the article said. “He basically called him gutless, a coward for the way he handled Keith (Traylor, who Cameron released).”  You can read the entire piece by clicking here.
