The one-time attorney for Sean Taylor released more details Thursday surrounding the shooting death of the Washington Redskins star. According to the “Washington Post,” Richard Sharpstein says the four men under arrest in connection with the killing at one point considered halting the planned burglary of Taylor’s home in the Miami, Florida area November 26th.
Sharpstein says the group heard noises, but the teenager who is accused of firing the fatal shot is said to have told them he was the one making the noise. Seventeen-year-old Eric Rivera and 19-year-old Jason Mitchell are then said to have gone inside the home while 20-year-old Venjah Hunte and 18-year-old Charles Wardlow waited in the car.
Sharpstein says Rivera and Mitchell were the ones to enter the house because they were familiar with it from a previous burglary at the home eight days earlier. He says the details are based on information he has obtained from law enforcement sources based on statements to the police by the four young men now under arrest.
