In the latest round of “let’s get rich quick by suing an player” scheme, Titans suspended cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is being sued for spitting at a woman at a nighclub in Tennessee last October. Krystal Webb, a student at Tennessee State, is looking for $1.5 million from Jones on claims of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to a civil suit filed in Circuit Court of Davidson County.
The corner had been charged with assault after the October 26th ordeal, but those charges were dropped in court after the judge ruled that there was too many inconsistencies in the testimony. The attorney for Webb, Dumaka Shabazz, claims that his client has been humiliated, which is why she’s pressing the issue with a lawsuit. “Because of who it is, nobody ever forgets or lets it go,” Shabazz said. “People always say to her, ‘Hey, have you seen Pacman lately?’ And all the arcade game jokes … People say, ‘The next thing he is going to do is he is going to slam you because he is a wrestler now.’
Jones’ attorney, Worrick Robinson, basically laughed off the suit, claiming it is “outrageous.” The woman is also suing the club they were in, called Club Mystic. The suit states that Webb claims that Jones cursed her and her friends before Jones “hocked up mucus and phlegm in his throat and forcefully spit in Ms. Webb’s face and hair to her shock, horror and embarrassment.” I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone getting spit on having it described as “horror,” but whatever. Good luck and have a good waste of time on this one Krystal.
