Bills QB Losman Speaks His Mind on Benching

LosmanNow backup Bills Quarterback J.P. Losman is not going to start this Sunday, nor any Sunday for the foreseeable future, and after getting that news from coach Dick Jaruon, the offensive captain spoke out about being demoted after being injured early in week three. “I am a captain of this team, and I am chosen by my teammates,” Losman said. “They’re looking to see how I respond to a situation like this. Any one of us players can get faced with a situation like this . . . quite easily and pretty fast. So I’ve got to stay positive.”

“I have to prepare like I am going to start this game,” Losman said. “Something could happen extremely quick where I’m going to have to go in there, and I personally want to be ready for it. I personally have to get out some aggression if I get back on that field, and I want to be sharp. So that’s my biggest challenge.” Even Jauron stated it might not have been fair to simply replace Losman with Trent Edwards, but that is what the coach is doing. The bottom line, the Bills are 2-1 with Edwards starting, and 0-3 with Losman starting. Case closed.
