Titans’ Vanden Bosch fined for late hit

Tennessee Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden BoschThe National Football League’s coffers continue to swell as the Tennessean is reporting that Tennesee Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch was fined $7,500 by the league for a low hit on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Joey Harrington. Vanden Bosch’s agent, Anthony Agnone, did not immediately return a telephone call on Saturday.

Vanden Bosch told the Tennessean that he plans to appeal the fine, adding, “If you watch the play, I beat the tackle and he grabbed my ankle with both hands, so I am falling down and hit him with my arm, not my helmet or my shoulder or anything. I don’t know how to prevent that. It wasn’t a dirty hit. The guy tripped me so I was going down.”
