The National Football League’s coffers continue to swell as the Tennessean is reporting that Tennesee Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch was fined $7,500 by the league for a low hit on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Joey Harrington. Vanden Bosch’s agent, Anthony Agnone, did not immediately return a telephone call on Saturday.
Vanden Bosch told the Tennessean that he plans to appeal the fine, adding, “If you watch the play, I beat the tackle and he grabbed my ankle with both hands, so I am falling down and hit him with my arm, not my helmet or my shoulder or anything. I don’t know how to prevent that. It wasn’t a dirty hit. The guy tripped me so I was going down.”
