Editor Jim Dubenetzky’s NFL Picks for Week 4

Sammy Morris

Last week:8-6-2, Season: 20-23-5

RAIDERS +4 at Dolphins

The only thing that will keep the Raiders winning this game outright is if they commit costly turnovers. The Oakland defense should keep Miami’s offense bottled up all day long.

TEXANS -3 at Falcons

The Texans are a much better football team than the Falcons in all most all facets of the game. Matt Schaub will go big against his former team.

RAVENS -4.5 at Browns

If the Browns don’t score on a kick return by Josh Cribbs, I don’t think they will score at all. The Baltimore defense will hold the Browns to just a few points while setting their offense up with good field position throughout the game.

BEARS -3 at Detroit

I think the Bears bounce back after Sunday’s loss. The QB switch is just what the doctor ordered in Chicago and the team will rally around QB Brian Greise. I know the Bears D didn’t look very good late in the game but I think they will play the Detroit offense pretty tough.

PACKERS -1 at Vikings

The Packers are on a roll right now and there is no good reason why that will end in Minnesota.

COWBOYS -13.5 vs Rams

At first I thought 13.5 points was too much. But I can’t find a reason why Dallas won’t win this game by 2 TD’s.

BILLS +3 vs Jets

I just think the Bills are due, especially offensively. Look for Lee Evans to wake up this weekend and Marshawn Lynch to have a 100-yard day.

BUCCANEERS +3.5 at Panthers

I don’t like this game at all, I don’t know what to expect from either team so I am just going to take the underdog.

SEAHAWKS -1.5 at 49ers

San Francisco is lucky to be 2-1. Seattle will prove that they are still the team to beat in the NFC west.

STEELERS -5 at Cardinals

The Steelers have covered the line in all three games this season and they will do it again this weekend.

CHIEFS -12 at Chargers

There is no doubt that I think the Chargers will win but with their recent struggles I don’t think they will win by 12.

BRONCOS +9.5 at Colts

The Broncos have one of the best defensive backfields in the NFL. Peyton Manning will put up points but not enough to win by 10 points.

GIANTS +3 vs Eagles

A divisional game like this is tough to pick so I am going to stick with the home team and take the points.

PATRIOTS -7 at Bengals

The Bengals have no defense whatsoever; they gave up 51 points to the Browns. The Patriots D will be able to stop the Bengals offense quite a few more times than the Bengal D will stop the Patriot offense.
