Editor Blake Kelley’s NFL Picks for Week 2

Steven Jackson

Houston at Carolina

Houston showed what they can do against a declining team in the NFL. Now its time for them to show everyone if they can play with a solid playoff contender. Carolina is too much for Houston as the Panthers win 35-14

Cincy at Cleveland

Bengals offense and defense are too good for Cleveland to keep up with again this week. This one will be over soon enough. Bengals 28 Browns 6

Indy at Tennessee

This one looks very one sided on paper. Peyton Manning makes it one sided on the field as the Titans just do not have what it takes to hang with the Colts. Colts 32 Titans 13

New Orleans at Tampa Bay

With both teams looking to improve on their week one performances I think this game is closer then it should be. If the Saints want to be considered a favorite heading into the playoffs they need this game. The Bucs just need a big win to jumpstart their season. Saints 21 Tampa Bay 17

49ers at Rams

San Fran can start out with two wins in the division heading into week one with a win in this game. Rams need to answer some questions on offense as to wheather the passing and running game will be alright without Pace. Rams 24 49ers 20

Bills at Steelers

This game will be filled with emotion with the Bills playing for Everett. Steelers will be able to run it down Buffalo’s throat as nobody has the answers on defense to stop fast Willie Parker. Steelers dominate this one 38-14

Green Bay at Giants

Green Bay looked better then I thought in week one, or was it Philly looked way worse then I could have ever thought last week. Any way with Giants missing key pieces all over this team look for Green Bay to comfortly get this win. Green Bay 21 Giants 10

Falcons at Jags

Jaguars need this game bad. If Jack Del Rio can’t get it done here then he may be leaving the team quicker then anyone had ancticpated before the season. Falcons look to run the ball and pass very little mostly because their pass game is terrible. Jags get it done this week Jacksonville 27 Atlanta 10

Seattle at Arizona

This will be a very good division matchup and should live up to its potential. Both teams will be able to put up points on each other. Seattle will win this one because of Mr. Alexander and their Defense. Seattle now can go back to the Super Bowl as they found the final piece in the puzzle by getting Charlie Frye. Seattle 30 Arizona 28

Dallas at Miami

Dallas will win this game this week based on having better talent on Both sides of the ball. This one will be over quickly as the Dolphins just can’t keep up with the Cowboys. Dallas 35 Miami 21

Minnesota at Detroit

Vikings can win this game by how they like to play. Run the ball all day long and simply stop the other teams running back from getting one hundred yards rushing. Detroit will need Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams to step up if they want to win this game. Vikings 17 Lions 9

Oakland at Denver

Oakland has no shot at this game at all. Denver is better then them in every aspect of the game. Denver will run it all day for first downs and occasionally pass it for fun. The Defense will get to the Raiders QB as Oakland will run to sign Russell before he realizes what he is getting into. Denver 24 Oakland 7

Kansas City at Chicago

Both teams have their problems but they are at entirely different levels as Chicago’s problems may prevent them from winning the super bowl. The Chiefs problems may keep them from winning four games this year. Bears 32 Chiefs 14

Jets at Ravens

Jets have to focus after the whole signal stealing story unfolds. They have major holes in a weak secondary and might be having a QB controversy. Lets face it Jets lost last week because of Tom Brady and Randy Moss not because their signal were stolen. Ravens showed guts las week as everyone was hurting during the game. They stuck it out last week but get rewarded for it this week as Ravens coast to victory 21-3

Chargers at Patriots

Can’t wait for this one it should be a very good game with enough offense to keep you interested and some huge hitting to keep you up for this low scoring affair. Patriots win this one 17-10

Washington at Philly

Philly needs to rebound badly if they want to go to the playoffs this year. You can’t start losing two in a row in week two. Washington has got the pieces to make it fit and I look for a close game between these two. Philly wins this one 21-14
