The Oakland Raiders, after perhaps offering a ray of hope in their 36-21 loss to the Detroit Lions last Sunday, now have a dilemna on their hands – who will their starting quarterback be? So far, Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin has not disclosed who that starter would be, but with QB Josh McCown suffering from both a bruised index finger and a sprained foot, most signs point towards reserve QB Daunte Culpepper getting the nod on Sunday.
Regardless of which QB starts for Oakland, they’re in for a tougher defensive challenge than the one they had last week. What’s even more distressing is that the Broncos can counter the Raiders’ offense with the impressive duo of QB Jay Cutler and RB Travis Henry. Cutler is coming off a 300+ yard game against the Buffalo Bills last Sunday and hopes to do more of the same against the Raiders. Henry is on a roll; he ran for 139 against Buffalo and is on a 3 game streak of 100+ yard rushing efforts. When the smoke clears, the Broncos will leave Oakland with a 0-2 mark.
