While the New York Giants continue to look more like the makings of a real-life MASH unit, the team still has not heard from Michael Strahan on if he is coming back to the team or not. New York already has seven players on season ending injured-reserve, and six more that are questionable for tonight’s preseason finale. They have had injury issues all over the place this summer, and this while they really could use Strahan to help out the defense.
But he’s nowhere to be found.
That’s not exactly true, we know that Strahan is in beautiful Southern California, and a person close to Strahan said that he is continuing to mull his options, and that he’s not happy that the Giants declared Tuesday that a decision is coming soon. “There is one coming,” the person said. “Either there’ll be a press conference announcing his retirement or he’ll be back at work.”
If Strahan was coming back to the team, and if that was going to be today, then why would he have nixed a scheduled appearance on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” that was to be tomorrow night? All indications are that Strahan is going to continue to make the Giants wait. And all the while players on the team continue to drop like flies with now less than two weeks before the season opener.
