New England Patriot 2004 second round draft pick Marquise Hill is missing following a jetski accident on Lake Pontchartrain. U.S. Coast Guard searched for the defensive end throughout the night with no luck, and they continue their search today. Reports say that Hill and a woman were on jetskis when they went into the water. The woman was able to make it to a pylon and hang on till she was rescued, but Hill was last seen floating away from the scene.
Albert Elias, the agent for Hill, said on a TV station in New Orleans. “I’m an optimistic guy, He’s a strong kid and a fighter.” Hill played on the National Championship team for LSU, and in three seasons played in 13 games with the Pats, making three total tackles. He and the woman were not wearing life jackets at the time of the accident. His bio on the Pats web site state: Rated by many publications as the best defensive lineman in the nation as a high school senior. Was named first-team All-American by numerous publications including ESPN, USA Today, The Sporting News, Rivals.com, Super Prep, and Fox Sports.
