NFL Thursday Night Week 14 Prediction

Tonight’s game between the Browns and Steelers is expected to be played in adverse conditions, with possible snow and wind in the Steel City. Both these teams are simply playing out the stretch, but for both teams, tonight is their Super Bowl. The Steelers beat the Browns two weeks ago, 24-20 in Cleveland after trailing 20-10 with just over 9 minutes to go. The Browns last week defeated the Chiefs 31-28 at Browns Stadium after trailing 28-14 in the 4th quarter. The wild card in this game is that of new Browns QB Derek Anderson, who stepped in and led the Browns to the win after Charlie Frye went down with a wrist injury in the first half. Anderson has a much stronger arm than Frye, but does not have the mobility that Charlie has shown this season. The Steelers will blitz and blitz Anderson, and it will be tough to throw with the bad weather conditions. The Steelers scored 20 at home last week vs Tampa Bay, and in going 5-7 have been much more able to score at home than on the road. No Hines Ward or Troy Polamalu spells trouble for the Steelers, plus they can’t run the ball whatsoever. Needless to say, as bad as the Steelers offense is, the Browns offense has shown at points in this season they can be worse. Expect a low scoring, bang it out game that is going to be tough to watch even for the most loyal fans. Pittsburgh 17 Cleveland 10
