What was supposed to be a fruitful season for the Washington Redskins may already be in trouble if Clinton Portis’ shoulder injury lasts for a significent amount of time. The fact that Portis was making a tackle on a turnover was bad enough, but you just knew when he was helped up that the Skins would be in trouble. Once again goes to show when they should have only 2-3 preseason games, and I understand that this happened in the first preseason game, but maybe coaches would think differently about the preseason if they didn’t have to push players for a month of training camp as well as 4 games. The brass at the Skins have to be worried about Portis big time. In a competitive division like the NFC East, if he can’t go – can you say bottom dwellers?
